Reset password for Freepbx

Unlock once, then set the admin in the GUI

  1. Open your FreePBX login page in a browser and press Ctrl+A — you’ll see a long PHP session ID on the page.

  2. On the PBX console as root, run:

 fwconsole unlock <that-session-id>

 

  1. Refresh the browser — you’ll be let in once.

  2. Now either:

  • Go to Admin → Administrators and create/reset the GUI admin, or

  • Go to Admin → User Management, edit a user, open the Administration GUI tab, enable admin and set permissions.
